If the user failed to launch Apple Watch, this is not a reason to immediately run to a service center or store for a new gadget. Even “apple” technology, the stability of which is known to the whole world, can fail. But this does not mean that the device is not subject to resuscitation. Most problems can be fixed by yourself if you know what’s wrong.

Apple Watch won't turn on

Why Apple Watch won’t turn on

It is possible that they cannot be turned on because the battery is completely discharged, and the charger has broken or is not in contact with the contacts. Therefore, the first step is to make sure that the cable is inserted into the adapter tightly enough. If so, try charging the watch with another charger.

However, other troubles can happen: for example, everything is in order with charging, but the display does not work.

Why the screen does not work on the Apple Watch: the main reasons

It happens that the display of smart watches does not work. For example, the logo is on, and that’s it. Why the screen may not work — below.

Power button broken

During operation, it could fail. This can happen due to too much pressure, impact. To eliminate this breakdown, you need special tools and knowledge. It is recommended not to experiment, but to contact the company’s SC: the button will be repaired there.

Moisture has entered the protective housing

Even though the gadget has a solid degree of protection, water can still penetrate to the internal elements. This happens for the following reasons:

  • the device was at a greater depth than intended;
  • the smart device has been under water for too long;
  • the device has been exposed to hot steam for a long time.

What to do? Of course, dry. For example, to push water out of the case in Series 3 models, it is enough to scroll the Digital Crown several times. Now it is worth trying to turn on the device again. If it doesn’t help, you need to take the watch in for repair.

Important! These reasons are not a warranty case, so repairs will have to be done at your own expense.

Watch stuck after update or software crash

This is a way to improve the optimization and functionality of the device. However, it also happens that failures occur during the installation of a new version of the OS or software. Because of this, the smartwatch may not work correctly. For example, an apple may appear, but it does not go beyond that. As a rule, everything is solved here by rebooting or reinstalling updates.

Mechanical damage to the watch display

The reason for the non-working screen may be that the gadget was hit hard, stepped on it, or dropped from a great height. If the display is cracked or the sensor has stopped responding, it is unlikely that you will be able to fix the problem yourself.

Advice: in order not to damage the screen, you can protect it with a special glass, like the Belkin version.

How can I fix the problem

There are three troubleshooting methods that do not require the help of specialists.

Forced reboot

This is an effective solution for most cases. You can force Apple Watch to reboot like this:

  1. Hold down the power button and the wheel at the same time.
  2. Keep the keys pressed for at least 10 seconds or until the logo is loaded.

When the smartwatch reboots, watchOS will automatically:

  • will make changes;
  • perform optimization;
  • will be updated to the final version at the time of the restart.

The process will take 3 to 5 minutes.

Recommendation: to increase the protection of the device from external influences, you can purchase a bumper case, like Shockband Pink.

Disabling VoiceOver

This function is integrated into the operating system and is designed for voice control of the gadget. Failures in its operation can lead to problems with the device. Also, the reason may be hidden behind the curtain — Screen Curtain.
Disabling these features is another fairly easy way to troubleshoot. What and how to do — in the table.

Using Tenorshare ReiBoot

Worth a try if the methods listed above didn’t work. The software was created for iPhones and watches of the company. The software is available in versions compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems.

To solve the problem, you need:

  1. Download, install and run the software on your computer.
  2. Connect smart watch to PC.
  3. Click “Enter Recovery Mode”.
  4. Wait for the iTunes icon to appear on Apple Watch.
  5. Click “Exit Recovery Mode”.
  6. Launch device.

If these steps did not help, you need to reconnect the gadget to the computer and do this:

  • Click on “Solve all iOS freezes”.
  • Select the “Restore Now” option.
  • Specify the path to download the file and confirm the action by clicking “Download”.
  • Mark “Fix now”.

Note: after that, the Apple Watch will automatically start.

When Apple’s smart watches do not respond, you can try to bring them back to life using one of the above methods. If all else fails, you should contact the workshop.
