New competitor Apple Watch will cost $1500.

A well-known Swiss brand has decided to enter the smart electronics market. At a presentation in New York, representatives Tag Heuer showed the first smart watch produced by the company. In an interview, CEO Jean-Claude Biver made it clear that the new timepiece will compete with Apple watches:

Our new watch has almost the same features as the Apple Watch.

The novelty from Tag Heuer is made in a classic style with a round 46 mm. dial, the role of which is played by a touch screen with a resolution of 360 × 360 pixels and a density of 240 pixels per inch. The case is made of titanium, and the screen is hidden under a glass with a sapphire coating. The weight of the device will be 52 grams. The lineup will have seven color straps: black, white, green, blue, orange, yellow and red.

The watch is equipped with a gyroscope and an accelerometer, but, unlike the Apple Watch, it does not have a heart rate monitor. The decision to add a microphone to a smart accessory looks strange, but not to equip it with a speaker, apparently, talking on the phone through the watch will not work, and the microphone will be used for voice control. The device received the IP67 security certification.

The inside of the new smart watch is based on the Intel Atom Z34XX processor, which has two cores and a clock frequency of 500 MHz with the ability to overclock to 1.6 GHz, the memory is limited to 4GB without the possibility of expansion. The built-in 410 mAh battery should provide up to 30 hours of battery life. The device was equipped with a vibration sensor for feedback.
